Water Quality Assessment and Management
Allroads Pty Ltd engaged Red Sand Ecology to undertake a water quality assessment and provide compliance advice for construction of a residential development at The Gap, Queensland, adjacent a locally significant waterway, Fish Creek. Our team completed water sampling in areas potentially affected by project works to inform development of a monitoring program and required management actions. Ongoing monitoring and reporting throughout construction ensured that project-specific and local water quality objectives were continually met and negative impacts to ecological values were avoided.
Construction Water Treatment
Red Sand Ecology is highly experienced in construction stormwater treatment in alignment with project conditions and local government discharge requirements. For the recent residential development at The Gap, water sampling of the site’s sedimentation basin was undertaken to determine treatment required to reach water quality objectives.
The field team applied the required agents to settle sediment particles and treat nutrient and pH imbalances, achieving rapid results suitable for water discharge within 24 hours. This is a key component of Erosion and Sediment Control services offered by Red Sand Ecology, providing efficient sediment flocculation and calibration of automated dosing systems across diverse environmental settings throughout Queensland.
